Soil and water conservation(SWC) technologies : - SWC technologies are defined as the agronomic, vegetative, structural as well as management measures that prevents and control land degradation and thereby enhance output of the field in terms of harvest.
SWC measures are : -
- Agronomic(mulching)
- Vegetative(contour grass strips)
- Structural)(check dams)
- Management measures
Land degradation: land which has degraded due to anthropogenic activities or through natural disaster. As a consequence of this unable to function properly. Land degradation will lead to soil, water and vegetative degradation as its consequence.
Climate deterioration: changes in the micro and macro climate conditions that increases the risk of crop failure.
