Abstract
|
This publication presents some contributions and results of the seminar “Better Water Use Efficiency for Increasing Yields and Food Security – from Watershed to Field”, which took place during the Stockholm Water Week 2012.Case studies from Bolivia, Ecuador and Burkina Faso emphasize experiences related to small-scale water harvesting and irrigation systems. Moreover issues of integrated water management within larger landscape units in the context of the water-food security-climate change nexus are presented. The proceedings, achievements and challenges underline both critical issues and potentials of international development cooperation in the field of water use efficiency.
